Singapore Airlines Expands UK Operations with New Non-Stop Flights to London’s Gatwick Airport

In a significant expansion of its UK operations, Singapore Airlines has announced the introduction of non-stop flights between Singapore and London’s Gatwick Airport starting June 2024. The service, scheduled to begin on 21 June 2024, will be operated by the long-haul variant of the Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

This addition complements the airline’s existing four-times daily flights to London’s Heathrow Airport, increasing its weekly services to the UK capital from 28 to 33.

Flight Schedule and Timings: Details of the New Gatwick Route

The new route, subject to regulatory approval, will feature flight SQ310 departing Singapore for Gatwick on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The inaugural flight is set to depart at 23:55 local time on 21 June 2024, reaching London at 06:25 the following day. The return flight, SQ309, will operate from Gatwick to Singapore on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with the first return journey scheduled for 10:15 local time on 22 June 2024, arriving in Singapore at 06:20 on 23 June.

This early morning arrival in Singapore offers convenient connections to various destinations in South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand through SIA and Scoot flights. The A350-900 aircraft serving this route will feature a three-class cabin configuration, including 42 seats in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy, and 187 in Economy Class, totaling 253 seats.

With the introduction of this new service to London’s Gatwick Airport, Singapore Airlines’ customers will have an additional flight to choose from when flying between Singapore and the UK. It also opens up additional travel options to other points in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.”
