FAA’s Shrinking the Seats On You, Alaska Joins the Cut Club, Exclusive Fare Deals

FlyersRights.org, the largest airline passenger organization, filed a rulemaking petition with the FAA on October 5th, the 3rd anniversary of the ignored Congressional deadline for the FAA to set minimum seat standards. FlyersRights.org's rulemaking petition proposes seat dimensions that accommodate 90% to 92% of the population.

The operative word here is 'Congressional deadline' (yes, 2 words...which goes right in line with Congress' logic). 3 years ago Congress was supposed to set the seat dimension standard...and of course they did not...
