Emirates Says They Will Not Suspend Flights to Russia

March 29, 2022

Emirates says they have no intention of suspending flights to Russia despite a wave of other international carriers abandoning their services to Russia in recent weeks due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Emirates, the Dubai-based mega-carrier, has today announced that it currently has no intentions of suspending flights to Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops on February 24th, 2022.

The government of the United Arab Emirates has refused to take sides between Western allies and Russia. It has also been unwilling to impose global sanctions on Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine.

Currently, Emirates serves Moscow's Domodedovo Airport (DME) twice daily from its home base in Dubai. These flights remain on sale on the airline's website at the time of writing and, given today's announcement, are not expected to disappear any time soon.
