Delta Air Lines SkyMiles Loyalty program grabbed the No. 2 spot and outperformed all global airlines in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of airline loyalty schemes.
Delta SkyMiles was recently recognized by U.S. News as one of the top airline loyalty programs. The rankings were based on the flexibility that the programs have shown in light of the coronavirus pandemic. Delta has been working hard to accommodate its members, offering a variety of ways to redeem miles.
Delta SkyMiles ranked highest among globally operating airline loyalty programs, according to U.S News. Their ranking was based on five components: ease of earning a free round-trip flight, added benefits, network coverage, flight volume and airline quality ratings.
Delta’s SkyMiles program has continued to be a leader in the airline industry by making changes and improvements, such as introducing a new award chart with innovative redemption opportunities and adding more partner airlines.
Delta Excelled at Upgrade Perks
Delta gave customers using upgrade certificates more access to premium seats on both domestic and international flights. This included expanded availability for Delta Premium Select and First Class.
Delta has begun recognizing its most valued customers in new ways. Delta 360° and Million Miler Members are now being recognized on the Fly Delta app and while in flight. This provides a more personalized experience for these customers.
“We know that our customers have options as they get back out into the world after another year of uncertainty, and we remain steadfastly committed to earning their loyalty,” said Dwight James, S.V.P. of Customer Engagement and Loyalty and CEO of Delta Vacations. “Our SkyMiles members choose to fly with us because of our unparalleled commitment to safety, reliability, elevated experience and to our members themselves. We’re humbled that they continue to choose us.”
I don't fly Delta often (by virtue of where I leave really). But when I do, it's always a good experience. They have it buttoned up, along with Southwest.
