Emirates to Bring Back A380 Superjumbo Service to Auckland, Kuala Lumpur

Emirates will restore its long-haul, non-stop stop Airbus A380 service to Auckland and Kuala Lumpur (both from Dubai) starting December 1st.

Emirates is making the change to A380 flights in order to provide passengers with a more direct service between Dubai and both cities. The stop in Kuala Lumpur will no longer be necessary, and passengers will be able to enjoy a more seamless journey by flying direct on both routes.

The new schedule which will provide greater levels of flexibility and seat availability. The new services will also provide more opportunities to travel across the Emirates network with reduced transit times after the delinking of services, and faster connections to and from Europe, the Middle East, South Asia as well as Africa.

With its 14,200 km length, the non-stop services between Dubai and Auckland will once again be the longest route on the Emirates network. Not to mention, it will also be one of the world’s longest scheduled commercial flights that don't make any stops.

The direct flight EK448 from Dubai to Auckland, departs at 10:05 a.m. and arrives the next day at 11:05 a.m. The return trip departs from Auckland at 21:15 p.m., arriving in Dubai at 5:25 a.m. the next day local time.

The A380's signature products and services will be available across all classes on these routes, so passengers can enjoy an even better travel experience. In addition, New Zealand is ramping up its visibility with a global campaign in key markets to encourage more visitors to come and re-live the country's incredible experiences and stunning natural attractions. Malaysia is also a unique travel destination, and Emirates recently signed a Memorandum of Collaboration with the Malaysia Tourism Board to develop inbound visitor traffic into the country from key markets across the airline's network.
