Etihad Airways is taking a bigger bite of the Big Apple as the carrier will increase their daily New York (JFK) - Abu Dhabi (AUH) route to twice daily flights.
The flights operated by the airline will be powered by two of the most efficient and eco-friendly aircrafts in existence today: the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Both these airliners have been designed to reduce fuel burn and carbon dioxide emissions, thereby significantly outperforming their predecessors in terms of environmental impact.
Martin Drew, Senior Vice President Global Sales & Cargo, Etihad Airways, said: “Etihad is responding to customer demand for increased frequency to New York and our well-known reputation for high-quality customer experience. Boosting our flights to New York gives our guests even greater options across key business and leisure destinations in our expanding global network.
“Our guests travelling to the US can use our US pre-clearance facility, the only United States Customs and Border Protection facility in the Middle East. This allows passengers bound for the United States to process all immigration, customs and agriculture inspections in Abu Dhabi before they board, avoiding immigration queues on arrival in the US.”
Etihad Partner JetBlue Will Now Have More Options for its Flyers
With the recent frequency increase of flights to and from the United States, Etihad and codeshare partner JetBlue now offer travelers 47 new destinations throughout the Americas. This news means that customers can access more convenient connections beyond New York.
Etihad provides an easy way for passengers to make their flights more eco-friendly. Their Conscious Choices loyalty programme encourages travellers to reduce their carbon footprint while onboard by carrying less baggage and offsetting their flights’ emissions with Etihad Guest Miles.
