Azul Linhas Aéreas, a prominent Brazilian airline, has expanded its Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS) agreements to include its fleet of A320 and A330 family aircraft, encompassing over 100 aircraft in total. The extension of these multi-year, maintenance-by-the-hour contracts will enable Azul to access integrated component services that include on-site stock, pool access, and comprehensive repair and engineering services for various rotable parts. This arrangement ensures the airline benefits from Airbus' extensive engineering prowess and the support of local FHS representatives based in Brazil.

Since its inception in 2008, Azul Linhas Aereas has risen to become a major player in Brazil's aviation sector, offering flights to over 160 destinations across Brazil, the United States, Europe, and South America. Notably, Azul was the inaugural Airbus FHS client in Latin America, opting for Airbus' component services for its A320 fleet starting in 2016.

In the broader context of Airbus’ engagement in Latin America and the Caribbean, the company has sold over 1,300 aircraft and maintains a dominant market share of in-service passenger planes in the region. Approximately 800 Airbus aircraft are currently operational across Latin America and the Caribbean, with nearly 500 additional aircraft on order. Since 1994, Airbus has captured 75% of net orders in these markets. Globally, Airbus supports 1,300 aircraft with FHS contracts, leveraging its extensive network to deliver maintenance and support services.
