Editorial Standards

Who We Are
Skygofly is an independent aviation and air travel news publication based in the United States. Our coverage focuses on airlines, airports, and the aviation industry — written for frequent travelers, business flyers, and anyone who spends serious time in the air.
Our founder and editor is a working On Board Courier (OBC) — a logistics professional who transports time-critical aircraft components and cargo across the globe. He has spent years inside the airports, terminals, and aircraft that most travelers only pass through. That insider perspective is the foundation of everything we publish. He previously founded and operated Airnation.net, an aviation news portal.
We are not a content farm. We are not a faceless operation. There is a real person behind every editorial decision made at Skygofly.
Our Editorial Mission
Skygofly exists to keep frequent travelers and aviation enthusiasts informed with fast, accurate, and relevant news about the industry they depend on. We cover airline policy changes, airport developments, FAA regulations, aviation industry news, and the stories that matter to people who live their lives in the air.
We do not publish clickbait. We do not exaggerate headlines to manufacture outrage. We do not publish stories we cannot verify from credible primary or secondary sources.
Our Sources
All news coverage published on Skygofly is sourced from credible, verifiable sources including but not limited to:
- Official airline press releases and communications
- FAA regulatory notices and announcements
- Airport authority official communications
- Established aviation trade publications
- Wire services and established news organizations
- Direct reporting and firsthand industry knowledge
We link to primary sources wherever possible. When we cannot independently verify a claim, we say so.
Our Use of Artificial Intelligence
Skygofly uses AI language tools — including Claude by Anthropic — as part of our content production workflow. We believe in being fully transparent about this because our readers deserve to know how our content is made.
Here is exactly how AI is used at Skygofly:
What AI does: AI tools assist in drafting initial news briefs based on verified source material. They help us produce accurate, clearly written summaries of aviation news events at the publishing volume our readers expect.
What AI does not do: AI does not select our stories. AI does not determine what is newsworthy. AI does not publish anything without human review. AI does not replace editorial judgment.
The human layer: Every piece of content published on Skygofly is reviewed and approved by a human editor before it goes live. Our editor reads every brief, verifies the core facts against the source material, adjusts tone and framing where needed, and makes the final call on whether a story meets our standards. Editorial responsibility at Skygofly is human. Full stop.
This approach aligns with what Google describes as “human-curated” content — AI assists the process, humans own the outcome.
We will never publish AI-generated content that has not been reviewed by a human editor. Any story that cannot be verified against credible source material does not get published regardless of how it was drafted.
Accuracy and Corrections
We take accuracy seriously. If we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted directly on the affected article with a clear explanation of what was corrected and when.
If you believe a story contains an error, contact us at support@skygofly.com. We will investigate and respond.
Advertising and Affiliate Relationships
Skygofly may carry display advertising and may participate in affiliate programs related to air travel, including flight booking services. Sponsored content, if and when published, will be clearly labeled as such and will be editorially distinct from our news coverage.
Our editorial decisions are never influenced by advertisers or affiliate partners. A story does not get published because an advertiser wants it published. A story does not get killed because an advertiser doesn’t like it.
