Four Points Sheraton Overview

Experience fairly modern comfort (just being straight here) at Four Points by Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung, a 4.5-star hotel located just a quick 10-minute hop from Hong Kong International Airport. Imagine the convenience of being so close to your flight, yet far enough to escape the airport hustle.

The hotel boasts an impressive 1001 well-appointed rooms, which is just a fancy way of saying they’ve got a lot of places to crash. Whether you’re there for business, pleasure, or just to escape the in-laws, they’ve got you covered with accommodations that scream comfort and style.

Built in 2020, this place is practically a newborn in hotel years, offering a range of entertainment facilities. Whether you’re in the mood for some retail therapy at their shops, a nightcap at the bar, or a culinary ‘adventure’ at their restaurant, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy.

Nestled on the scenic Lantau Island, the hotel is a stone’s throw away from popular attractions like the awe-inspiring Tian Tan Buddha and the thrilling Ngong Ping 360. It’s like living in a postcard, minus the cheesy captions.

And let’s not forget the views. Whether you’re gazing at the ocean or the city, the vistas from their rooms and suites are nothing short of stunning. It’s like Mother Nature and the city planners got together and decided to give you a treat for the eyes.

So, if you’re planning a trip to Hong Kong and want to stay somewhere that offers both comfort and a dash of irreverent charm, Four Points by Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung might just be your perfect match.

Accommodations

Room options at the Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel are as varied as the whims of a traveler. From the Ocean View Suites (I had an ocean view as you can see above) to the 1 Bedroom Suites and the Traditional Guest rooms, there’s a little something for everyone. Each room is kitted out with modern amenities, including air conditioning, and offers jaw-dropping views of either the ocean or the bustling cityscape. It’s like having a front-row seat to nature’s and humanity’s greatest hits.

Now, if you’re someone who likes to sprawl (well, as much as you can ‘sprawl’ in any room in Hong Kong) extra beds are available upon request. And for those who prefer a city view, some rooms cater to that need too. Four Points by Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung has a knack for accommodating every kind of guest, whether you’re a solo adventurer, a family on a getaway, or just someone who accidentally booked the wrong hotel.

However, a word to the wise: don’t expect any in-room heating. I found myself in a similar predicament during a stay in Taipei. Did I raise a fuss with the staff? Nah, I was too busy enjoying my lazy streak. Plus, it wasn’t exactly freezing, but still… it would have been nice to have the option. I mean, come on, Sheraton, throw us a bone here…

Dining and Leisure

The hotel offers a breakfast buffet, which I didn’t personally try, but it’s there for those who fancy a morning feast. There’s also a coffee shop for your caffeine fix and a restaurant serving up a mix of international and local dishes that promise to tantalize your taste buds.

For those moments when hunger strikes at odd hours, guests can indulge in 24-hour room service, ensuring that no craving goes unsatisfied. And let’s not forget the bar, which boasts a wide selection of beverages to quench your thirst and perhaps loosen you up for some impromptu karaoke.

The Harbor Lounge is touted as a nice place to kick back and unwind with friends and family. My first night was marked by a burger experience here – not quite the In-N-Out level of satisfaction, but it certainly did the trick ( I was starving). Throughout the hotel, the wait staff were consistently praised for their friendliness, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable.

Services and Amenities

The hotel is a veritable playground for guests, offering 24-hour room service that caters to those midnight cravings, safety deposit boxes for your peace of mind, and a concierge team ready to tackle any inquiry or travel arrangement you can throw at them. It’s like having your own personal genie, minus the three-wish limit.

Guests can bask in the joy of complimentary Wi-Fi in both public areas and their rooms, ensuring you’re never too far from the digital world. Whether you’re streaming the latest cat videos or conducting a serious business meeting (or perhaps both), the connection is pretty reliable and free.

For those who detest laundry, fear not. The hotel provides dry cleaning and laundry services, taking that chore off your hands. Though, I must admit, the on-site convenience store left something to be desired. Maybe it was the lack of my favorite snacks, but hey, you can’t win them all.

In a commendable effort to save the planet, the hotel is replacing disposable amenities with non-plastic alternatives. It’s a small but significant step towards reducing environmental impact, and I couldn’t help but give a mental high-five to whoever came up with this green initiative. Kudos to you, Sheraton.

Location and Accessibility

The Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel is conveniently located just a quick 10-minute drive from Hong Kong International Airport. For those who dread the idea of lugging suitcases through public transport, fear not! The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to whisk you to and from the airport, making your arrival and departure as breezy as a Lantau Island morning.

Speaking of convenience, the hotel’s proximity to the Airport Express train station means that getting to the city’s bustling heart is as easy as pie. It’s like having a secret cheat code to Hong Kong’s vibrant life, minus the frantic search for a taxi.

Nestled in the burgeoning neighborhood of Tung Chung, the hotel provides an ideal base for exploring the wonders of Lantau Island. Whether you’re planning a pilgrimage to the majestic Tian Tan Buddha or a thrill-seeking adventure on the Ngong Ping 360, Tung Chung offers a convenient location that caters to both the intrepid explorer and the laid-back wanderer. It’s a bit like having your cake and eating it too, but in this case, the cake is a blend of stunning natural beauty and urban convenience. So, go ahead and dig in.

Family-Friendly and Business Travel

I found the Four Points Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel to be an excellent choice for families, offering a variety of room types and amenities that cater to every possible need. From spacious rooms where kids can sprawl out (or at least attempt to) to extra beds available on request for those unexpected guests, the hotel seems to have thought of everything. It’s almost like they anticipated the chaos that accompanies family travel and decided to throw in a few lifelines.

For the business traveler, the hotel’s convenient location near Hong Kong International Airport is a godsend. Really. No one wants to be stuck in traffic when there’s a meeting to catch or a flight to board. The modern amenities and a range of meeting and event spaces are just the cherry on top. I couldn’t help but notice how effortlessly the hotel balances catering to both families and business folks, like a juggler with way too many balls in the air – yet somehow, they don’t drop a single one. It’s a rare feat, and one that deserves a tip of the hat.

Sustainability and Awards

Sheraton is making strides in reducing its environmental footprint by adopting sustainable practices, such as replacing disposable amenities with non-plastic alternatives. It’s a commendable move, and one that earns a tip of the hat from eco-conscious travelers who appreciate a hotel that doesn’t just pay lip service to sustainability.

In terms of customer satisfaction, this place is no slouch. The hotel has consistently raked in outstanding ratings, boasting an impressive overall score of 8.6. It’s like the hotel equivalent of a gold star from your teacher – except this one’s plastered all over the internet for the world to see. And let’s face it, in the cutthroat world of hospitality, that’s no small feat.

So, if you’re looking for a place that combines eco-friendly initiatives with top-notch service, the Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel might just be your cup of tea. But don’t take my word for it – go ahead and check it out for yourself. Just remember to pack your reusable water bottle and a sense of humor; you’re going to need both.

Guest Experience

In my experience, the staff at the Four Points Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel are attentive and professional. Their commitment to providing good service ensures that guests feel welcome from the moment they check in. They seem to have a knack for understanding guest needs and responding efficiently.

Now, let’s talk about the views. Whether you’re a fan of soothing ocean vistas or prefer the vibrant cityscape, the rooms and suites offer a visual feast that will have you snapping photos like a tourist on their first trip. It’s like having your own personal postcard, minus the cheesy captions.

The hotel itself is a treasure trove of amenities and services designed to enhance your stay. However, a word to the wise: the fitness center, spa, and pool are reserved for Sheraton guests only. As someone who stayed at the Four Points hotel, I found myself peering longingly at these facilities, like a kid with their nose pressed against a candy shop window. But hey, it gives you something to aspire to for your next visit, right? It’s all part of the charm of staying at a place that knows how to keep you coming back for more.
