AerCap Holdings N.V., a prominent player in aviation leasing, has recently inked lease agreements for four 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) aircraft with JD Airlines, the cargo arm of JD Logistics. Set for delivery in 2024, these aircraft are poised to bolster JD Airlines’ operational capabilities significantly, especially amidst the burgeoning demand for e-commerce and express delivery services in Asia.

JD Airlines, under the umbrella of JD.com—one of China’s foremost technology and service providers—will operate these freighters from Nantong Xingdong International Airport. The routes are strategically chosen to connect major economic centers such as Nantong, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Wuxi, facilitating swift cargo movement across key Asian markets.

The announcement marks a continuation of AerCap’s relationship with JD Airlines, with three 737-800BCF aircraft already leased to the carrier. “We are delighted to announce this new agreement with JD Airlines, marking an exciting expansion of our business relationship. The addition of these four 737-800BCF aircraft to their fleet will enable JD Airlines to respond to the ever-growing demand for e-commerce and express deliveries. We wish the JD Airlines team continued success and look forward to many more years of successful collaboration,” stated Rich Greener, Head of AerCap Cargo.
