The additions to our fleet will help us bolster the strength of our operations as we expand our footprint and foray into international skies in the coming months. Each addition to our fleet brings us closer to our purpose of connecting people, places, and cultures, and we hope that as we step into the next phase of growth, we will be able to serve millions of satisfied travellers across the globe.” He also expressed gratitude towards the employees and partners for their support, which has been crucial in Akasa Air’s rapid development, and conveyed his aspirations for building a world-class airline.

Akasa Air’s growth is not just in fleet size but also in its network, connecting major cities with Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities throughout India. The airline plans to expand both domestically and internationally, with the new aircraft supporting these goals by providing seamless and reliable connectivity.

The airline emphasizes sustainability, with the 737 MAX family aircraft offering improved range and fuel efficiency, reducing fuel use and carbon emissions by 20% and having a 50% smaller noise footprint compared to older aircraft.

Since beginning operations in August 2022, Akasa Air has served over 6.3 million passengers and currently connects 17 cities across India. The airline’s online and app-based booking systems, along with partnerships with travel agents and OTAs, facilitate customer access to its services.
