Breeze Airways is set to initiate its operations at San Diego International Airport next month, introducing five new nonstop flights to key cities across North Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

The first route to be launched is Raleigh-Durham, N.C., on April 30, with subsequent services to Jacksonville, Fla., Norfolk, Va., Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh commencing in early May.

These flights, according to Breeze Airways, are seasonal and will not operate throughout the entire year. A spokesperson for the airline mentioned that all flights, with the exception of those to Raleigh-Durham and Norfolk, will conclude by the end of August or early September. As of now, there are no specified termination dates for the Raleigh-Durham and Norfolk flights.

Special Spring Promotion Announced by Breeze Airways for San Diego Routes

Founded in 2021 by David Neeleman, who is also the founder of JetBlue, Breeze Airways is a relatively recent entrant into the aviation industry. Notably, the new destinations from San Diego introduced by Breeze are currently not serviced by any other airline at San Diego International Airport.

However, Southwest Airlines is slated to offer a weekly nonstop flight to Pittsburgh during the summer period from June to August.

In a move to welcome the spring season, Breeze Airways announced a promotional offer on Wednesday, providing a 34 percent discount on all round-trip base fares. This offer is valid for bookings made by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Friday and applies to travel scheduled between March 27 and Oct. 1 of this year.

Breeze Airways' Fare Classes and Customer-Centric Policies

The airline plans to operate the newly introduced San Diego routes using its fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Breeze Airways, which describes itself as a “nice low-cost carrier,” offers three fare classes, with premium options including seat selection and complimentary checked luggage.

Additionally, the airline does not impose change or cancellation fees. For flights cancelled by customers, a credit is available for future use within a two-year timeframe.

Currently, Breeze operates in several California locations, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Ana (John Wayne Airport), and San Bernardino.
