British Airways has announced its return to London Stansted Airport, offering travelers new premium flight options beginning 18 May 2024. The airline will introduce weekend flights from London Stansted to three popular destinations: Florence, Ibiza, and Nice. These flights will be operated by BA Cityflyer, a subsidiary of British Airways, using its Embraer 190 aircraft.

During the week, BA Cityflyer primarily operates from London City Airport, serving nearly 30 short-haul destinations. The addition of the Stansted services aims to complement the existing weekday services from London City. This expansion also includes recent weekend services from Edinburgh to San Sebastian, Spain, and Olbia, Sardinia.

This development marks the first time British Airways has offered scheduled flights from Stansted since the onset of the global pandemic. With this move, Stansted becomes the fourth London airport to be served by the flag carrier.

Passengers flying on these new routes will have the choice of two cabins: Club Europe, which is the business class offering, and Euro Traveller, the economy class. Those opting for Club Europe will enjoy amenities such as a full meal service, drinks from the bar, priority boarding, and an increased baggage allowance.

The ticket pricing for these flights starts at £41 each way to Florence, £36 each way to Ibiza, and £43 each way to Nice. Reservations for these flights are currently available for booking.
