Choice Hotels International has successfully completed the integration of the Radisson Hotels Americas business. This notable achievement sees nearly 600 hotels transitioning to Choice Hotels’ franchise system and digital platforms, marking a pivotal moment for the company. The integration was accomplished in a notably brief period of 16 months, following the acquisition of the Radisson Hotels Americas brands in August 2022.

Pat Pacious, President and CEO of Choice Hotels, commented on the achievement: “Completing the integration in such a short amount of time is a testament to Choice’s experience and unrivaled expertise in acquiring and integrating hotel brands. With the Radisson Hotels Americas properties now integrated, we are well-positioned to further help reduce Choice franchisees’ costs, continue to boost their profitability, and help drive their performance to the next level.”

Migrating Radisson Properties to Choice's Cloud-Based Systems

The final phase of the integration involved moving Radisson Americas hotels onto choiceADVANTAGE and ChoiceMAX, Choice Hotels’ proprietary cloud-based systems. This step followed several significant milestones that were reached earlier in the year. Notably, in July, less than a year after the acquisition, all Radisson Americas brands, including Radisson Blu, Radisson, and Country Inn & Suites, were made available on Choice’s central reservation system and bookable on ChoiceHotels.com.

Statistics Show Enhanced Digital Engagement and Revenue Since Integration

The integration has already begun yielding substantial benefits for Choice hotel owners and operators. The combined business has contributed to a reduction in guest acquisition costs and an increase in profitability. Noteworthy improvements have been observed in digital engagement and revenue since the integration. From August through November, year-over-year metrics showed a 4% increase in total digital visits, a 5% increase in total digital bookings, and a 3% increase in total digital booked revenue. The mobile app experienced even more significant growth, with visits up 19%, bookings up 18%, and booked revenue up 13%.

Pacious further remarked, “With more hotels in the Choice family, and with all of the Radisson Americas properties now fully integrated, our entire system is growing stronger together. It’s a win-win for all of Choice’s fantastic hotel brands, our franchisees, and the millions of guests we all serve every day.” The integration represents a strategic expansion for Choice Hotels and indicates a promising future for the company and its stakeholders.
