Emirates, recognized as the world’s largest international airline, has announced an expansion of its services to South Korea, specifically Seoul. Starting from February 19, 2024, the airline will add three additional weekly flights to its schedule. These flights, designated as EK324/ EK325, will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The additional flights will be conducted using the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Flight EK324 is scheduled to depart from Dubai at 0445hrs and arrive at Seoul Incheon International Airport at 1805hrs. The return flight, EK325, will leave Seoul at 2200hrs, arriving back in Dubai at 0315hrs the following day. This increase in service is expected to add over 1,000 seats per week on the Dubai-Seoul route, addressing the growing demand for international travel to this key East Asian destination. It also aims to support the tourism industries of both South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
Emirates' Ongoing Commitment to Seoul Since 2005
These additional flights are not only significant for passenger travel but also for cargo transportation. Each Boeing 777 flight will offer 45 tonnes of additional cargo capacity, enhancing trade and economic connections between South Korea and the UAE, as well as between these countries and other global destinations within Emirates’ network.
Emirates has been operating flights to Seoul since 2005 and currently runs a daily service using the Airbus A380 aircraft. With the introduction of these new flights, Emirates will offer a total of 10 weekly flights to Seoul, utilizing a combination of the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. This expansion is aimed at providing more flexibility and options for travelers commuting to and from Dubai, as well as those connecting to other destinations in Emirates’ extensive network, which covers over 130 locations worldwide.
Enhanced Passenger Experience with Award-Winning In-Flight Amenities
Passengers on Emirates flights have access to a range of in-flight amenities, including a culinary experience with multi-course menus inspired by various regions, developed by a team of award-winning chefs and accompanied by a selection of premium beverages. The airline’s inflight entertainment system, ice, offers up to 6,500 channels of global entertainment content, including Korean movies, TV shows, music, and more.
