The lounge, known for its exclusivity, now features elegant, cream-colored leather seating, modern furniture, new carpets, and updated lighting. It also boasts a state-of-the-art kitchen, ensuring that the culinary offerings continue to meet high standards. With a capacity to accommodate 115 guests, it stands as the largest airline lounge at Düsseldorf Airport and one of the most spacious Emirates Lounges in continental Europe.

This renovation in Düsseldorf is part of Emirates’ broader investment in Germany, which has seen the modernization of its airport lounges in Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Munich over the past five months. These efforts underline Emirates’ commitment to providing premium experiences for its passengers across major German cities.

Diverse Culinary Offerings and Exclusive Services in Newly Refurbished Lounge

The Düsseldorf lounge is open daily, three hours before the departure of Emirates flights EK56 and EK58. It offers a diverse menu of hot and cold dishes that change monthly, catered by the renowned DO & CO, including a variety of vegan options. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary bar service and private shower rooms. Access to the lounge is extended to Emirates First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as Skywards Platinum or Gold members traveling in Economy Class. Additionally, access can be purchased by other travelers.

Originally opened in May 2009 as the 20th Emirates Lounge worldwide, the Düsseldorf facility reflects the airline’s long-standing presence in the region. Emirates has been operating flights from Düsseldorf since 2001, providing connections from the North Rhine-Westphalia region to Dubai and over 140 destinations globally. Notably, Emirates is the only airline operating the Airbus A380 at Düsseldorf Airport, offering more than 900 seats daily in a three-class configuration to and from Dubai.

Consistent Luxury Across Emirates' Global Network of Airport Lounges

Overall, Emirates operates 39 self-managed airport lounges globally, including seven in Dubai and 32 at major international airports. Consistency in design and service across these lounges aligns with the airline’s ‘Fly Better’ promise to premium class customers. Additionally, Emirates offers a complimentary chauffeur service for First Class and Business Class passengers in and around Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg, facilitating seamless travel to and from the airport.

“We are constantly looking for ways to further enhance the travel experience for our valued customers both in the air and on ground, Emirates’ exclusive airport lounges are an integral part of our ‘Fly better’ brand promise. The investment in the refurbishment of all lounges demonstrates our commitment to our passengers and to our airport partners in Germany.” says Volker Greiner, Emirates Vice President North & Central Europe.
