Finavia, the Finnish airport conglomerate, and SSP Finland have recently entered into a significant five-year contract to enhance restaurant services at Turku and Oulu airports. This comprehensive agreement encompasses extensive renovations and an expansion of the culinary offerings in both the departure halls and gate areas of these airports.
Olli Väyrynen, VP Business Development (Airport Network) at Finavia, expressed satisfaction with the development, stating, “We are very pleased that the restaurant services at Oulu and Turku airports will develop further. We have worked with SSP Finland for many years. I’m very happy to be able to continue this cooperation.”.
Turku Café's Renewal: Blending Tradition with Modern Flavors
At Turku Airport, the established Tori Turku restaurant will maintain its presence in the departures hall, continuing to provide a high-quality lunch buffet that caters to both passengers and local airport employees. Additionally, Turku Café, a staple in the gate area, will undergo a renewal while continuing to offer Finnish delicacies, café products, and a selection of takeaway items, groceries, and souvenirs.
The Aura Bar, situated in the lower gate area, will also feature in this revamp, offering an assortment of takeaway food and beverages.
Oulu Café: A Hub for Home-Cooked Meals and Seasonal Delights
Oulu Airport will see the transformation of Tori Kitchen & Café in the gate area, promising a refreshed look and an inclusive menu suitable for early morning travelers as well as those seeking more substantial meals. Furthermore, Pub Toppila will retain its inviting atmosphere, offering an array of pub-style cuisine and a diverse selection of both classic and local beers.
Oulu Café, located on the airport’s first floor, will continue to provide seasonal treats and café products. A highlight of its service is the high-quality buffet lunch available on weekdays, featuring an extensive range of home-cooked dishes and appealing to a broad spectrum of airport visitors.
