IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), a prominent player in the global hotel industry, has announced three significant signings within its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in Turks & Caicos. This development marks IHG’s entry into the renowned Caribbean destination, with the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and Hotel Indigo brands set to open by 2027. The projects are being undertaken in collaboration with the Molo Hotel Group and UK-based management group Lighthouse Hotel Management, both owned by the Slominski family.

Located on the picturesque Grace Bay, these properties will be designed by the Glasgow-based architecture and interior design studio Ica, in partnership with Turks & Caicos-based Conservative Architecture and Miami-based landscape architecture firm EDSA. The three distinct resorts are aimed at offering unique experiences for both visitors and locals.

InterContinental Turks & Caicos

The new InterContinental Turks & Caicos will be situated in a prime beachfront location, featuring a seven-story all-suite property with 59 spacious units, each offering panoramic ocean views. The resort will include a ground-floor restaurant and bar, an outdoor pool, an on-site fitness center, and a signature Club InterContinental lounge. The design is intended to embody “approachable sophistication,” reflecting InterContinental’s recent global brand evolution. Guests can expect culturally rich experiences that align with the brand’s focus on expanding minds and satisfying desires for knowledge.

Kimpton Turks & Caicos

The Kimpton Turks & Caicos will consist of 192 rooms and will emphasize a sense of retreat. The property will feature three outdoor pools, a spa, and a fitness center. The seven dining options include a beachfront restaurant, rooftop bar, poolside bars, ice cream and coffee parlor, juice bar, and a ground-floor restaurant and lobby bar. Kimpton’s well-known amenities such as morning coffee and tea, evening social hours, the “Forgot It? We’ve Got It!” amenity program, in-room yoga mats, complimentary bicycles, and pet-friendly policies will enhance the guest experience.

Hotel Indigo Turks & Caicos

Adjacent to the InterContinental and Kimpton resorts, Hotel Indigo Turks & Caicos will reflect the brand’s ethos as “The World’s Neighborhood Hotel.” The resort will include 56 rooms spread across one new building and two existing structures undergoing complete transformation. The property aims to offer a laid-back vibe that mirrors its surrounding neighborhood, from design and décor to the dishes served. Guests will have access to an on-site restaurant, lobby bar, coffee shop, outdoor pool, and fitness room.

Paul Adan, Regional SVP of Development for Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean for IHG Hotels & Resorts, commented, “As we expand IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle presence across the Americas, we’re doing so with thoughtful intention. Turks & Caicos is one of the Caribbean’s most spectacular destinations, and we’re excited to mark the company’s much-anticipated debut there with our InterContinental, Kimpton and Hotel Indigo brands. These stunning havens will welcome visitors and locals alike with unique, yet complementary experiences. We also are especially thrilled to expand our partnership with Molo Hotel Group.”

This expansion signals IHG’s strategic move to strengthen its footprint in the Caribbean, providing high-end, differentiated experiences for discerning travelers.
