Liebherr-Aerospace has been selected by Airbus to develop and supply flight control computers for its commercial aircraft, underscoring a significant advancement in avionics. This development will see the integration of state-of-the-art flight control systems within the Airbus fleet, enhancing both performance and safety.
The new contract will lead to the creation of two advanced flight control computers specifically for the Airbus A320 family. These units will be developed and manufactured at Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH in Germany and at Liebherr-Electronics and Drives GmbH in Lindau, highlighting the company’s expertise in high-performance and multicore processing control systems.
This collaboration marks a continuation of the longstanding relationship between Liebherr and Airbus, characterized by a shared commitment to innovation and safety in aviation technology. The flight control computers designed by Liebherr will complement those developed by Airbus, ensuring system dissimilarity and adherence to the highest safety standards.
