Virgin Atlantic has introduced a promotional offer that provides a 50% discount on award redemptions for flights from the U.S. to London. This promotion applies to economy, premium economy, and Upper Class (business class) bookings.
The offer marks an improvement over a previous promotion in January, which featured a 20% discount on redemptions to various destinations. Unlike the prior offer, the current discount is exclusively for flights to and from London.
Qualification Criteria for Promotional Redemption
Customers interested in availing of the 50% discount must complete their bookings by March 20, for travel dates ranging from March 14 to June 30. The promotion encompasses flights in all directions and cabin classes, provided there is award availability. It is also applicable to redemptions, upgrades, and companion tickets, with the stipulation that the flight must be operated by Virgin Atlantic to qualify for the discount.
For award redemptions, round-trip economy flights start from 10,000 Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points from JFK and 15,000 points from LAX. The discount is applied automatically when booking online. Consequently, passengers booking a flight from New York to London could redeem their trip for as few as 5,000 points, utilizing LHR as a starting point for their European summer vacation.
