Spirit Continues Growth Mode Plus New Aircraft Coming Online

The airline’s latest addition to its service portfolio is the San Juan route, coming on the heels of its recent introduction of three new routes from RSW to Charleston (CHS), Norfolk (ORF), and Richmond (RIC) in November.

In line with its ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experience, Spirit has been actively investing in various initiatives. Notably, its Fit Fleet® is recognized as one of the most fuel-efficient fleets in the aviation industry. Furthermore, the airline anticipates the arrival of numerous new aircraft in 2024, promising to maintain this efficiency.

Better/Wider Seats? Please!!

Cabin improvements have also been a focus for Spirit. The airline recently announced enhancements that include wider seats with additional cushioning, new headrests, and upgrades to the Big Front Seat®. These changes aim to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable flight experience.

Additionally, Spirit has prioritized onboard connectivity. The airline offers high-speed Wi-Fi, enabling passengers to access various streaming services during their flights, thereby enhancing the in-flight entertainment options.

We are extremely pleased that Spirit Airlines is inaugurating new nonstop flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico from Southwest Florida International Airport. San Juan is the most highly sought Caribbean destination at RSW,” said Ben Siegel, CPA, C.M., Executive Director of the Lee County Port Authority. This new service not only gives travelers from Southwest Florida an opportunity to visit family and friends on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico but will also bring business partners and visitors to Fort Myers to enjoy everything our region has to offer.
